Regional Police Officer Gujranwala, Rao Abdul Kareem has said that police Martyrs are precious assets of the Punjab Police and police is committed to ensure protection of lives, property and honour of the people which was its prime duty whereas police youth bring honour to Punjab police by laying down their lives during duty.
He expressed these views while visiting Kalianwala village. DPO Hafizabad Dr. Rizwan Ahmad Khan was accompanied by him.
RPO went to the house of Shaheed constable Dilber Razaq who was laid down his life during a conflict between police and activists of a banned outfit some weeks ago at Jalalpur Bhattian.
He expressed his condolence with heirs of Shaheed and offered prayer for his internal peace. He also gave away Eid gifts to family of Shaheed Dilber Razaq.
While paying tribute to Shaheed Dilber Razaq, RPO said that history of the Punjab police was enriched with such spirited and gallantry of youth who scarified their lives for protection of lives, property and honour of the people while the Punjab police would maintain its tradition in any time of trial or eliminating miscreants.
He expressed his resolved that police would not hesitated to lay down their lives during performing its responsibilities at all.
Meanwhile Hafizabad police have arrested 25 accused and recovered heavy contingent of narcotics from their possession.
According to police report, police conducted crackdown against criminals in precincts of police station, Hafizabad city, Kaleki, Sukheki Mandi, Kassoki and arrested 25 accused.
Police recovered more than 300 liter liqueur, more than five kg chars and illegal arms from their possession. Police have registered separate cases against accused with their respective police stations
DPO Hafizabad Dr. Rizwan Amad Khan said that police was conducted target operation against anti social elements to clear the district from criminals.
