One Aslam shot to death his 18 year old niece on suspicion of developing illicit relations with someone at village Chot Dheran, in precincts of Malakwal police. Reportedly the niece refuted the allegation when the uncle blamed her for bad character. This was followed by exchange of hard words between the uncle and niece. Aslam got provoked and open fire with pistol straight at her. She died at the spot. Aslam after murdering the girl fled away from the scene.
In road accident two students of 10th class died. According to details Ali Hasan resident of Kot Jharana and Saqlain of Kot Nawabshaw were going on Motorbike when they met with accident near RD 8 near Rasul Barage. One died on the spot while other was moved to DHQ Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Two brick kiln laborers namely Asmail 28 years old and Habib 30 years old died while cleaning coal ashes in the kiln in estate of Shahidanwali, a village in the vicinity of Mandi city.
