The Caretaker Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Madad Ali Sindhi, graced the book launching ceremony of “Police Samagi Idarah,” a publication authored by Dr. Afshan Malik. on Friday at Sindh Police Museum, brought together guests, scholars, and members of the law enforcement community.
During his address as the chief guest, Caretaker Federal Minister Madad Ali Sindhi highlighted the historical significance and developmental strides of the Sindh Police. Emphasising the dignity of the police institution, the minister called for a shift in public perception, recognising the invaluable role played by the force.
The Federal Minister advocated for parity in the salaries of police officers. He said that the competitive salaries are not only essential to maintain the spirit of professionalism in the service, particularly police service but they also can contribute to a reduction in malfeasance within the force. The Minister was also being presented with a copy of “Police Samagi Idarah” and a special souvenir by the Sindh Police, expressing gratitude for his valuable presence and insightful remarks.
Police Samagi Idarah” is an insightful work that delves into crucial reforms for the Sindh Police. Dr. Afshan Malik, the author, has meticulously compiled the book to include the names of 2000 martyrs of the Sindh Police. The book not only commemorates these heroes but also details the locations where they were serving when they made the ultimate sacrifice.
