LRBT held its 5th Annual Fundraising Golf tournament to raise funds for the treatment of blindness of underprivileged patients through its network of 19 hospitals and 63 clinics all across Pakistan.
30 teams comprising of professionals from financial institutions, corporate, media and business houses participated and contributed towards the mission of “No man, woman or child should go blind simply because they cannot afford the treatment”.
Engro Corporation was the title sponsor of the event for the 5th consecutive year, there were 12 associate sponsors and 8 goodwill partners who enabled us to continue our work of giving sight, transforming lives.
The president of Pakistan Honorable Dr. Arif Alvi and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M. Amjad Khan Niazi also played in the tournament. During the closing ceremony, in his concluding remarks, Honorary Chairman LRBT, Najmus Saquib Hameed T.I. thanked all participants who donated & participated to make this event a success.
He also stressed on the fact that the proceeds collected through this tournament will enable LRBT to restore the sight of 3000 underprivileged patients to become contributing members of society. Ghias Khan- CEO & President Engro Corp also spoke on the occasion and distributed the prizes among the winners. The tournament was won by the Chief of Naval Staff’s team whereas the runner up team was led by Jerjees Seja.
