The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday granted bail to opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz, in an assets beyond means case.
A two-member bench of Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Asjad Javed Garal heard the bail plea of Hamza Shahbaz in the above said case.
Hamza Shahbaz’s lawyers Amjad Pervez and Azam Nazir Tarar took the position that Hamza Shahbaz has been in jail for twenty months.
If Hamza Shahbaz is acquitted of the case, then who will be responsible for keeping him in prison for such a long period.
Hamza Shahbaz is the opposition leader of the province, fourteen months after his arrest, the reference was filed and he was indicted 17 months later.
