LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday demolished three buildings and sealed another two during operations against violation of bylaws and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
The LDA teams demolished three illegal buildings during an operation on Ferozepur Road, Katcha Jail Road and near Shanghai Bridge. The LDA team also sealed two buildings in Gajju Matta for illegal commercial use.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before demolition operation.
Director Town Planning-VII Ali Abbas supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of enforcement teams, Police and heavy machinery. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
