The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Friday voiced concern over Muslims genocide in India and urged the international community to take notice of the heinous crime, not only against the Muslims in India and occupied Kashmir but against the humanity.
In a statement, the LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that Muslims genocide in India and IOK is adding fuel to the fire and ruining the peace in South Asia. He said that international community should not play the role of silent spectator on the issue.
While expressing concern over the role of International community, LCCI President said that United Nations (UN) and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should take notice of the Indian brutality and intervene in the matter as irresponsibility by the Indian government is giving birth to a historic human tragedy.
He said that business community has serious concern on the organized killing of Indian Muslims and alarming situation in held Kashmir. He said that brutal killing of innocent people is not acceptable for the business community of Pakistan and it is standing shoulder to shoulder with their brothers.
Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that the use of force and miscreants against the Muslims is a blatant violation of the right to life, right to freedom of expression and opinion, right to peaceful protest, right to peaceful assembly and other rights.
“Irresponsible act of Indian government raising alarm bells for prospects of peace and tranquility in otherwise volatile region. The growing tension, caused by Indian provocative policy, is not a good sign as confrontation between two nuclear powers could lead mass destruction”, the LCCI President added.
He said that Pakistani business community will continue to extend its moral support for realization of the right to self-determination of the Muslims in India and IOK.
