Fire incidents in Lahore during ongoing decreased by 9.4 percent against the last year. According to details, 5,243 fire incidents were reported in Lahore in 2023 during which 24 persons were burnt to death while 360 people were scorched.
Of total fire incidents, 3,836 were caused due to electric short circuit and 230 due to gas lea-kage. As many as 1113 fire incidents took place in residential areas while 715 incidents were reported from commercial areas. During 2022, a total 6333 fire incidents were reported across Lahore claiming 31 lives besides leaving 388 injured.
