LAHORE – The registration of a private college in Lahore has been cancelled after a female student was allegedly raped by a security guard.
The students gathered at the main gate of the college and staged protest against the alleged rape of the female student. They chanted slogans against the administration and demanded FIR against the suspect.
The police vans reached outside the college and started to control the situation.
The development took place days after a security guard allegedly raped the student.
The spokesperson for DIG Operations stated that the incident took place a few days ago, and the accused security guard is in police custody while investigations into the alleged assault are underway.
However, the spokesperson said that the victim and her family did not come forward, and no report of the incident was received by the local police station through 15 helpline or the college administration.
The spokesperson further said that the viral news circulating on social media has yet to be confirmed.
