LAHORE – Public sector healthcare facilities in Lahore including the tertiary care hospitals have been put on high alert due to security threats and possible law and order situation during electioneering and polling day.
In a notification issued on Wednesday, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) District Health Authority (DHA) Lahore has asked medical superintendents of tertiary care hospitals, specialized healthcare centres, DHQ/THQ hospitals and in-chage of Rural Health Centres (RHCs) to remain on high alert with necessary medicines and medical equipment in case of any emergency during election process.
Security threats and possible law and order situation during election process required tight security and vigilance, the CEO Health Lahore stated in the notification.
“Your hospital and extra staff may be kept at high alert with necessary medicines and other medical equipment’s in case of any emergency during election process”, the notification reads.
