KP CM Gandapur reaches Peshawar after seven hours incommunicado

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday re-established contact after seven hours and arrived at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar early this morning.

The sources said that Ali Amin Gandapur had left Islamabad late at night, heading for Peshawar.

Faisal Amin Gandapur and other leaders confirmed Ali Amin Gandapur’s return to Peshawar through posts on X.

Faisal Amin, Ali Amin’s brother, stated that he was able to contact him, and his mobile phone was switched on after seven hours.

Earlier, the Chief Minister’s disappearance had become a mystery for several hours, leading to various speculations.  The statements from opposition leader Omar Ayub and several PTI leaders also surfaced.

Barrister Saif had expressed concerns about his possible arrest, but Sahibzada Hamid Raza denied any such arrest.

A case has been registered against Ali Amin Gandapur at the Sangjani police station in Islamabad, accusing him of violating rally rules and making anti-state speeches.

The charges also include unlawfully detaining a district administration officer.

It may be mentioned here that several PTI leaders including Barrister Gohar Khan, Sher Afzal Marwat, Shoaib Shaheen and many others were arrested soon as they stepped out of the National Assembly on Monday night. A heavy police contingents were deployed outside the parliament building.
