Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro extended warm congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari on his election as the 14th President of Pakistan. Speaking to the media at the Sindh Assembly building, MPA Nisar Khuhro praised Zardari as the architect of the 18th Amendment of the Constitution and expressed confidence that under his presidency, the principles of provincial autonomy enshrined in the constitution would be upheld diligently.

Khuhro anticipated the prompt announcement of a new National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, essential for equitable distribution of resources among provinces, now that Zardari has assumed office.

He emphasized the significance of empowering provinces for a robust federation, suggesting the transfer of federal ministries to provincial control following the abolition of the concurrent list.
