The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are being subjected to the worst kind of human rights violations and state terrorism by India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar lamented that India was continuing its illegal hold on Jammu and Kashmir by the dint of over ten hundred thousand troops, a biased judiciary and communal media.

He said the Modi regime has turned Kashmir into a living hell for its residents by resorting to every kind of brutal tactic and is using all tactics to muzzle IIOJK people’s freedom voice. Lives of Kashmiris are at the mercy of brutal Indian troops, he lamented.

He said India is confiscating properties in IIOJK to bully Kashmiris into withdrawing support to freedom struggle and the presence of nearly one million Indian troops has made Kashmir as the most militarized zone in the world

He strongly condemned the continued illegal detentions of APHC Chairman Masarat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Aasiya Andrabi, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Khurrum Parvaiz, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Dr Hameed Fayaz, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, Omar Adil Dar, Zafar Akbar Butt and Muhammad Hayat Butt and termed their detention as the worst form of political vendetta.

The spokesman said that India would not be able to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing liberation movement through such cheap tactics and they would take it to its logical conclusion at all costs.

He said that thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyet leaders, young and old, were languishing in jails and detention centres and their lives had been turned into a hell. Young boys and other people are being sent to jails on daily basis after being booked under the draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA) by New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency, he added.—KMS
