KARACHI – People in Karachi and parts of the country are excited for Eid ul Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice that will be celebrated in the coming months.
The second major Islamic festival of the year is around the corner and people are excited to experience this time of the years when they spend time with their sacrificial animals. On this occasion, people purchase cows, some goats or sheep, while some opt for camels to sacrifice.
The management of Karachi cattle market announced plans to establish a market in Taiser Town on the Northern Bypass from May 10.
ATMs and temporary bank branches will be set up to facilitate cash withdrawals for animal purchases, a notification issued in this regard said. Additionally, an ambulance will be available for emergency medical assistance.
Eid ul Adha will be celebrated in mid-June this year as the central cattle market will be operational in the first week of May.
