Karachi, renowned as the “City of Lights,” was aglow with heightened security measures as it to welcome the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
A comprehensive security plan was meticulously crafted, involving a significant deployment of law enforcement personnel across the city. A spokesperson from the Karachi Police revealed that a total of 3,847 police officers and officials were mobilized to ensure peace, tranquility, and the security of the esteemed foreign dignitaries during their visit to Karachi.
The deployment of security personnel was strategically organized across different zones of the city, with 345 officers and employees stationed in District East, 164 in West, and over 300 in District South. Furthermore, approximately 1500 traffic officers and over 300 officers from the Special Branch were assigned security duties.
To bolster security measures, snipers were strategically positioned at sensitive and high-rise locations throughout the city. The spokesperson reiterated the Karachi Police’s unwavering commitment to upholding safety standards and emphasized that every possible measure was taken to fulfill their duties effectively in safeguarding the visiting delegations.
