A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has been established to probe the individuals involved in the Karachi airport blast, which specifically targeted Chinese nationals. The eight-member team will interrogate the arrested suspects, Muhammad Javed and Gul Nisa, and submit its findings to the Interior Ministry within 15 days.

The JIT, led by the Deputy Inspector General of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), includes officials from various security agencies, including the Rangers, Special Branch, Karachi Police, and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The team is authorized to seek assistance from any investigative agency to aid in their inquiry.

The decision to form the JIT follows the arrest of Javed in Sindh and Gul Nisa in Balochistan. Previously, an anti-terrorism court in Karachi granted a 10-day physical remand for the two suspects as part of the investigation into the blast.
