AmeerJamaat-e-Islami Karachi, MunemZafar Khan, stated that despite limited resources and powers, the elected local representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami, including nine town chairmen and UC chairmen, are dedicated to serving the public and addressing issues.
He highlighted the recent achievements during the inauguration of parks in Nazimabad Town, specifically in UC-1 Paposhnagar and UC-3 I-One Park. Khan emphasized that over the past few months, the party’s local representatives have successfully restored and renovated more than 90 parks across the city, which were previously in a dilapidated state. Additionally, over 30,000 streetlights have been installed or repaired to brighten Karachi’s streets.
Despite not having control over the Water and Sewerage Corporation, the New Karachi Town has managed to supply water to 10,000 households.
“Our vision is to build and advance Karachi,” said Khan, noting that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its efforts and struggle for the city’s development. He also planted a tree at the inauguration of Phool Park. AmeerJamaat-e-Islami district central, Syed WajihHasan, and Town Chairman Syed Muhammad Muzzafar also spoke at the event. They appreciated the efforts of Jamaat-e-Islami’s elected representatives, which were acknowledged by a large number of local residents present at the park openings. Munem Khan urged for the Water and Sewerage Corporation and Solid Waste Management Board to come under the jurisdiction of town chairmen to improve the resolution of urban issues. He also highlighted the party’s educational initiatives, including the launch of BanoQabil 4.0, which provides free IT courses to thousands of students.
