Islamabad, Pakistan weather update; isolated rains expected

ISLAMABAD – Isolated rains with gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of the country.

Under these weather conditions, rains with gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and at isolated places of upper Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35-37°C on Wednesday and 36-38°C on Thursday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Wednesday and 35-37°C on Thursday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, isolated rain-wind-thunderstorms occurred in northeast Punjab, north Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Punjab: Hafizabad 08, Mandi Bahauddin 05, Lahore (City) 02

Balochistan: Barkhan 07

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Kalam 01

Turbat remained the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. The maximum temperature in Sibbi was recorded at 42°C.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 63 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 41 per cent.
