Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The troops martyred two youth during a cordon and search operation in Kreeri Dooru area of Islamabad district, this evening. The operation continued till last reports came in. The occupation authorities have suspended internet service in the area.
Earlier, a civilian who was injured in the firing by the troops during a similar operation in Pandoshan area of Shopian district, last night, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar, today. The condition of another civilian injured in the troops’ firing in the same area is stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference while condemning the ongoing killing spree in a statement issued in Srinagar said extra-judicial killings of innocent Kashmiri youth are manifestations of the unabated Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory. The APHC appealed to the United Nations to impress upon India to withdraw draconian laws which give licence to its troops to kill the Kashmiris with impunity. It said that people of Jammu and Kashmir were offering sacrifices for their UN-acknowledged right to self-determination.
Major opposition parties and several social organizations have announced to launch a joint struggle against the so-called final report of the Delimitation Commission, which has led to a significant increase in number of the Jammu and Kashmir’s assembly seats for Hindu majority areas in Jammu region to dilute the territory’s Muslim character. The announcement was made after a three-hour long meeting of the parties under the banner of All Parties United Morcha in Jammu.
Peoples Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, in a statement in Srinagar said the Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to convert Muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir into a minority area adding that the delimitation process is another link to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. She asked the Indian Supreme Court to restore the Article 370.
The burning and destruction of the centuries old shrine of Kashmiri saint Sheikh Noorud Din Wali by Indian troops at Charar-e-Sharif in Budgam completed 28-years, today. It was on this day in 1995 when besides the shrine, the troops burnt to ashes a historic mosque and hundreds of residential houses after a 66 days’ military siege of the Charar-e-Sharif complex.—KMS
