In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Khawaja Firdous, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement has said that the Kashmiri people will never give up their struggle for freedom despite the ongoing Indian state terrorism in the territory.

Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srina-gar said that under the prevailing black laws in the occupied territory, Indian soldiers enjoy an open exemption for massacre of unarmed Kashmiris for perks and previlages. He said that Indian army was involved in serious human rights violations in occu-pied Kashmir.

Khawaja Firdous said that the troops were vio-lating the sanctity of women during the raids as a weapon of war to force the Kashmiri people into submission.

He said that Kashmir is an internation-ally recognized dispute and it is the responsibility of the international community to play its role in re-solving this issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the relevant UN resolu-tions.

Expressing concern over the plight of Hurriyat leaders and activists illegally detained in jails of Jammu and Kashmir and India, the Hurriyat leader deplored the Kashmiri detainees were deprived of even the facilities, which the authorities were sup-posed to provide as per the jail manual. He said that most of the Kashmiri prisoners were suffering from various ailments.

He appealed to the international human rights organizations to raise their voice for the immediate release of Kashmiris detainees languishing in Indian in jails.—KMS
