An Indian army man’s fire killed a colleague and critically injured another in Bandipora town of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, in an incident of fratricide, the trooper died and another was critically injured when an Indian soldier fired in the camp of the 14 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) in Bandipora. However, police tried to hush up the matter by calling it an accidental incident.
“There has been an accidental discharge of weapon resulting in one fatal casualty and one injury to army personnel. Accused army personnel have been detained. Necessary legal action has been initiated,” the Indian police claimed in its statement after the incident.—KMS
