In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) has said that the visit of Indian President, Ram Nath Kovind to the territory is a ploy to hoodwink the world community that situa-tion in IIOJK is normal.

Hurriyat leader and the DPM Chairman, Kha-waja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian rulers had converted the entire occu-pied territory into a military camp before the visit as strict restrictions have been imposed in most areas of Srinagar.

Supporting the All Parties Hurriyat Conference strike call on Tuesday, he appealed to the Kashmiri people to observe a complete strike on the day and convey a clear message to India and the interna-tional community that Kashmiris would never rec-ognize India’s illegitimate occupation over their motherland and they would continue their struggle for right to self-determination till complete success.

Khawaja Firdous said that India had occupied Kashmir through its military might and has turned Kashmir into a largest prison.

He added that India had no love for the people of Kashmir but it was the land of Kashmir, for which it was following the policies of Islrael to displace the Kashmiris from their own lands.

He maintained that India should read writing on the wall that the Kashmiri people had not recognize Indian rule during the past seven decades and would not accept it in future.

He said, as long as one Kashmiri is alive, struggle for freedom from Indian subjugation will continue.

Khawaja Firdous said, permanent peace in South Asia is impossible until the Kashmir dispute is not resolved according to United Nations resolu-tions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

He appealed to the global community to help settle the lingering Kashmir dispute so that perma-nent peace could be established in the region.—KMS
