Nine injured in road accident


In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, at least nine persons were injured after a passenger cab they were boarding met with an accident in Chowkibal area of Kupwara district on Sunday.

Reports said that a sumo bearing registration No JK-09 1093 skidded of the road and fell into a deep gorge along Budnamal Road in Chowkibal.

In the incident, nine persons sustained injuries and were evacuated to SDH, Kralpora, for immediate treat-ment.

A police official concerned, confirming the in-cident to media, said that all the injured have been lifted from the accident site to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The official in the meantime identified the in-jured passengers as Ghulam Rasool Lone, 70, Ghu-lam Mohammad Lone, 55, Ghulam Hassan Lone, 70.—KMS
