Indian police arrested a Deputy Superintendent (DySP) rank officer in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a team of Indian police searched the residence of DySP identified as Sheikh Aadil Mushtaq in Sanatnagar area of Srinagar.
The police seized documents and a laptop, besides other electronic devices while the officer was questioned in a case, said a police officer.
On Thursday, the officer was formally arrested under an FIR lodged against him at the police Station Nowgam and further investigation has been set into motion, the police added.—KMS
