Indian forces arrest over 3000 people in IIOJK this year

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, occupation troops, police and dreaded investigation agencies have arrested over 3,000 Kashmiris this year so far.

The personnel of Indian Army, police and paramilitary and sleuths of dreaded National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency have arrested these persons during violent cordon and search operations and house raids.

The arrested people include Hurriyat leaders Bilal Siddiqi, Firdous Ahmed Shah, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Jahangir Ghani Butt, Maulana Sarjan Barkati, Saleem Nannaji, Umar Aadil Dar, Sajjad Gul, Muhammad Yasin Butt and journalists, Irfan Meraaj and Majid Haidary.

Most of them were booked under black laws, Public Safety Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Meanwhile, Indian troops and police continued their violent cordon and search operations in different areas of Baramulla, Islamabad, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch districts, subjecting the people to severe harassment.

The residents of several areas told the media that the forces’ personnel barged into the residential houses, abused the inmates and vandalized the household goods.

Illegally detained General Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Molvi Bashir Irfani, in a message from Srinagar central jail hailed the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for raising the Kashmir dispute in the UN General Assembly.

On the other hand, in Geneva, a protest camp was held outside the headquarters of the United Nations Human Rights Council to draw attention of the international community towards the Indian state terrorism in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The camp was organized by the Kashmiri delegation attending the ongoing session of UNHRC.

The posters and banners with slogans like “India stop state terrorism in Kashmir”, “Indian Army – stop genocide in Kashmir”, “ India repeal draconian laws in Kashmir”, “Kashmiris want freedom were displayed during the camp.—KMS
