The Indian authorities have imposed restrictions around the grave of Syed Ali Gilani at Hyderpora in Srinagar to prevent people from offering Fateha for the veteran leader on his second martyrdom anniversary, today, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian paramilitary and police personnel have also been deployed at Hyderpora in Srinagar to prevent people from assembling at the martyred leader’s grave to offer Fateha for the departed soul and no one is allowed to enter the graveyard.
Indoor prayer sessions, including APHC leaders and parties Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Youth Forum, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Association and Chairman Youth Social Forum Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Jammu Kashmir Peoples Resistance Party Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmed, Democratic Hurriyat Front leaders Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Advocate Muzamil, Shabbir Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi War, Hafiz Rafiq Ahmed, Qazi Israr, and Aaqib Wani and Jammu Kashmir Democratic Movement President Prof Zuberi in their separate condolence meetings on the 2nd martyrdom anniversary of the great Kashmir leader, said that the struggle of Syed Ali Gilani was a golden chapter in the history of Kashmir freedom movement.
The participants on the occasion paid glowing tributes to the veteran leader and reiterated to con-tinue the freedom struggle in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan has urged the Indian Government to give unhindered access to the family and followers of iconic Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Shah Gilani, to his final resting place.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch at her weekly news briefing in Is-lamabad, today (Friday), said Syed Ali Gilani was a true voice and face of the Kashmiris’ struggle for their rights and freedom.
She said the unflinching commitment of Syed Ali Gilani to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, in the face of persistent persecution and tremendous personal hardship, has inspired generations of Kashmiris in resisting the occupation and tyranny.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Syed Ali Gilani will be remembered for his matchless sacrifices and unconditional love for Kashmir and for Pakistan. She said today on second death anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani, we pay rich tribute to his life-long dedication for justice and freedom and reaffirm our support to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Replying to a question, The Spokesperson said India must rescind its illegal act of 5th of August, 2019 and create an environment for peace and dialogue in the region.
To a query about recent statement of Indian Minister for External Affairs, the Spokesperson said it is nothing new. He has used undiplomatic language against Pakistan on a number of occasions and we regret it.—KMS
