In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, women are the worst victims of Indian forces’ barbarities as India is using rape as a weapon of war to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom struggle.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, today, revealed that Indian forces’ personnel have sexually assaulted over 11,240 women during the past three decades in the occupied territory.

It said India is deliberately targeting women in IIOJK to humiliate and terrorize the Kashmiris.

The report pointed out that Kunanposhpora mass rape, Shopian double rape and murder, and rape and murder of a minor girl in Kathua depict the brutal face of Indian forces.

Hundreds of people, today, reached the Martyrs Graveyard of Islamabad in South Kashmir and paid tributes to Dr. Qazi Nisar and offered Fateha on his grave.

The APHC Chief Spokesperson, Ghulam Muhammad Nagoo, in a statement in Srinagar said the Kashmiri martyrs have put a huge responsibility on Kashmiris’ shoulders to take the liberation movement to its logical end.

He paid rich tributes to Dr Qazi Nisar Ahmed on his martyrdom anniversary. Dr Qazi Nisar was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Dialgam in Islamabad on June 19 in 1994.

The Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement General Secretary, Dr Musaib, in a statement issued in Srinagar also eulogized the services and sacrifices of Qazi Nisar Ahmed to the freedom movement.

The Ameer of Tehreek-e-Fikr-o-Aiteqad Jammu and Kashmir, Sarjan Barkati, addressing a party meeting in Islamabad town of South Kashmir strongly condemned the fresh killing spree unleashed by Indian troops in Sopore, Shopian and other areas of the occupied territory.

The illegally detained Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, attended the hearing of a false case registered against her in a TADA court in Srinagar through video-link from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

However, Additional Sessions Judge of TADA, Justice Manjeet Singh Manhas, was not present and the case has now been listed for hearing again on July 07, 2021.

Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, Abdul Samad Inqilabi and Democratic Freedom Party in their statements urged the United Nations to take cognizance of grave human rights violations being committed by Indian troops in the territory.

The Jammu and Kashmir Students Youth Forum through posters pasted in Pulwama and Badgam areas urged Kashmiris to frustrate India’s nefarious designs of strengthening its illegal occupation of Kashmir.—KMS
