GROUND situation lends full credibility to remarks made by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi that India was sabotaging regional peace in order to divert attention from internal failures. Talking to Pakistan’s special envoy on Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq he said that Pakistan is continuously keeping the international community updated with the regional issues and developments.
India is playing dangerous game of destabilizing the region in a bid to advancing its nefarious designs and none of its neighbours has been spared of mischievous policies and actions of New Delhi. Only recently, India tried to lock horns with the world’s rising superpower – China – and got all round humiliation in its Ladakh adventure. It was because of saner attitude of Chinese leadership that a bigger and serious conflict has so far been avoided but India, backed by some foreign powers, is bent upon spoiling peace on border with China. As part of its expansionist designs, India has eyes on Nepalese territories of Lipulekh mountain pass, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura and it was after Nepal approved a bill to redraw map to demarcate these areas that New Delhi started conspiring to oust Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
On the pattern of what it tried to do on border with China, India has claimed the region by building the Darchula-Lipulekh link road despite repeated objections from Nepal. Oli publicly complained about various kinds of activities (by India) in embassies and hotels to destabilize his Government. India also usurped territories that legitimately belonged to Bhutan and has repeatedly been interfering in the internal affairs of Maldives. Not to speak of immediate neighbours, India is also actively involved in destabilizing Afghanistan by conspiring to scuttle moves aimed at restoration of peace in that country. Pakistan has been warning the international community about aggressive and expansionist designs of India and has provided solid evidence about sponsoring of terrorist activities by New Delhi. Attack on Karachi Stock Exchange building is clear manifestation of state-sponsored terrorism by India besides what it has been doing to people in Occupied Kashmir where, apart from physical harm to Kashmiris, moves have also been initiated to turn them into minority. Pakistan and other regional countries ought to join hand in exposing designs of India before the world community.
