The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has said that the RSS-backed Hindutva Indian government led by Narendra has turned Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a hell for its inhabitants for demanding their UN-recognized right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK Convener, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, in a statement issued in Islamabad said the Indian troops are committing the worst atrocities on the people of occupied Kashmir. He maintained that the Indian state terrorism witnessed an unprecedented upsurge since the Modi regime’s August 05, 2019 illegal actions. He said the silence of the international community has emboldened India to continue its brutalities in the occupied territory.

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar strongly denounced the continued house detention of senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and ban on Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar. This is grave violation of the basic human and religious rights and sheer interference in religious affairs of Muslims of IIOJK, he said.

The APHC-AJK Convener said the Kashmir dispute is the main cause of strained relations between India and Pakistan thus tension in the region. He urged the international community to play its role in the settlement of this lingering dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions for ensuring permanent peace in South Asia.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK leader, Qazi Imran, in a statement in Islamabad in connection with the International Day for Abolition of Slavery said Indian troops have been committing the worst state terrorism in occupied Kashmir for the last over seven decades. However, he said that the Kashmiris were determined to continue their struggle for achieving freedom from Indian slavery till complete success.—KMS
