Aafia Movement Pakistan leader and noted neurophysician of the country Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has said that the independence of Pakistan was a miracle and blessing of Allah, the Almighty, but sadly our ruling politicians have not valued this blessing.
As per details, on the occasion of the Pakistan Day, Dr Fowzia Siddiqui along with other social and political leaders visited the Mazar-e-Quaid and offered Fatiha and laid floral wreath.
Later, the volunteers of Aafia Movement held a ‘signature camp’ outside the Mazar premises in connection with their demand to release Aafia Siddiqui. Different political and social leaders besides a large number of citizens attended the camp, where Aafia Movement volunteers briefed them on Dr Aafia Siddiqui case and distributed pamphlets.
Talking on the occasion, Dr Fowzia Siddiqui said that the government while taking efforts for repatriation of Dr Aafia would not favour the Aafia family, but instead discharge its national and constitutional obligations.
She said one of the reasons why our country is facing so huge challenges and crises is that an innocent daughter of the nation is left detained in foreign jail. She said when rulers fail to deliver the nations have to face the consequences. She said on this 23rd March, 6933 days of Aafia Siddiqui in illegal detention have completed.
