Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s founder chairman, Imran Khan, on Monday threated to give a street protest call to his supporters if the government failed to implement the Supreme Court verdict in the special seats’ case.

“A crackdown was launched against my party in the name of May 9. The Chief Justice and the Election Commission had joined forces (against PTI). The Army Chief also supported them,” Imran said adding that their plan was, however, subverted on February 8.

“They have committed a big fraud in election and they fear that their act of steeling (the mandate) would get exposed if constituencies are opened. Therefore, they want to get judges of their choice in tribunals,” he asserted while talking to media inside Adyala Jail today.

Imran Khan alleged that Pakistan’s situation today had got worse than Bangladesh; Haseena Wajid had appointed Chief Justice, Army chief and police chief of her choice and pressed the opposition, including Jamaat-e-Islami, against the wall. “The same situation prevails in Pakistan,” he said.

“I have never given a street movement call to my party. (But) if the Supreme Court decision is not accepted, I am going to do the same,” he vowed.
Imran also threatened protest if extension was given to Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who retires in October.
