ISLAMABAD – Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, has been arrested in connection with the GHQ attack case.
The R A Bazaar has booked Imran Khan in the case, and sought his physical remand from a local court.
The courtroom proceedings began with the video-link testimony, covering all 12 cases including the GHQ attack. The Station House Officers (SHOs) from various police stations were present there.
Just a day before, the Special Court under Special Secret Acts, had granted Imran Khan bail.
Justice Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain issued the bail order, observing that Imran Khan’s bail had been accepted, and since he was not nominated in any other case, he should be released.
Although bail has been granted in the cipher Case, Imran Khan will remain in jail due to his arrest in the Toshakhana case involving 190 million pounds.
It is essential to note that on May 9th, Imran Khan was sought by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in connection with the GHQ attack case, which involved charges of attacking, burning images, and inciting people.
The cases are part of a broader legal framework concerning Imran Khan’s alleged involvement in incidents of attacking the state properties and military installations.
