Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah will hear the petition filed by the Jamaat-e-Islami against the rise in petroleum prices on Wednesday.
Jamaat-e-Islami Deputy Emir Mian Muhammad Aslam took a plea that the government could not directly take profit on the import products, requesting the court to issue direction for the fixation of POL prices at Rs45 per liter. Mian Aslam held the increase in prices of fuel led to the rise in prices of food items and transport fares.—INP
