Pakistan’s defense capabilities and its growing role in the global defense market. “IDEAS 2024 is an international platform where defense industry leaders exchange ideas and showcase military advancements,” he said. Commodore Khalid noted that this edition would see first-time participants, including representatives from Ukraine and Italy, and the inclusion of innovative technologies such as the Tanker Haider and Shaper Three drones.
The addition of a dedicated hall for new engineers to present their projects reflects the event’s commitment to promoting innovation in defense technology. Prime Minister of Pakistan is scheduled to inaugurate the exhibition on November 19, while Chief Minister of Sindh will be the chief guest on the third day.

Various seminars will be held throughout the event to discuss key defense issues and opportunities for collaboration. In addition to the exhibitions, the traffic plan around the Expo Center has been organized with the help of the traffic police to ensure smooth access for attendees. DIG Traffic, Ahmed Nawaz Cheema, confirmed that certain roads, such as Sir Suleman Road, will be closed from 7 AM to 7 PM to facilitate the event. This year, IDEAS 2024 is expected to draw more international attention than ever before, with a substantial increase in foreign participation, setting the stage for enhanced defense partnerships and showcasing Pakistan’s strategic defense capabilities on a global scale.
