A delegation of the Youth Council of Pakistan met the British parliamentary delegation in Islamabad and discussed various issues, including human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Brit-ish parliamentary delegation was led by Member of Parliament Andrew Gwynne, while the delegation of the Youth Council of Pakistan was led by its President Muhammad Shahzad Khan. Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement (JKSDMI) International, and Zeeshan Arif, Chairman of the youth wing of JKSDMI, UK, were also present in the meeting.
Speaking on the Kashmir conflict, Andrew Gwynn said it is the moral responsibility of every nation to condemn the ongoing human rights violations by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. “It is our moral responsibility to continue condemning the inhuman actions of the Modi government and try to keep this issue before the global consciousness”, he added.
He said it is the duty of countries to work for human rights and not allow anyone to violate them. He emphasized the importance of including youth in the parliamentary arena of Great Britain.
President of Youth Council Pakistan Muham-mad Shahzad Khan formally welcomed the delegation to Pakistan and said the interaction of youth with parliamentarians is very important because youth are the leaders of the future.
The delegation of Youth Council Pakistan in-cluded Ayesha Noor, Imad Shams, Farina Abbas, Qurat-ul-Ain, Ramsha Raees, Ahmed Usman, Sana Safdar, Saman Ishtiaq, Kashf Raa, Shahid Khalid and Noor-ul-Ain Bhutto.—KMS
