Meeting of Hazara Petroleum Dealers Association (HPDA) held at a local hotel here on Saturday. It was decided to close down all petrol pumps in Hazara Division when Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) issue strike call like the rest of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Hazara Division President Raja Irshad, General Secretary Javed Iqbal, Senior Member Seth Shabbier Hussain Asif Qureshi, Muhammad Haris and Ahmad Qureshi said that petrol pump owners have been forced to close their businesses as currently they are unable to meet expenses of Employees’ salaries and other utility bills from the current margin which is very meager.
The government should take notice of this margin and increase our margin by six per cent as demanded by our Central Chairman. If the Federal Minister for Petroleum does not increase our margin, the they had left no other option but to closed the petrol pumps and responsibility will be on the Ministry of Petroleum and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. So government to take care take care of the 12, 000 petrol pump owners and the poor laborers working with them across Pakistan and save them from becoming unemployed.
