Home Minister reviews polling security

Caretaker Sindh Home Minister Brigadier (Retd) Haris Nawaz, accompanied by Inspector General of Police Riffat Mukhtar Raja, conducted a thorough inspection of the Command-and-Control Center at Civic Center and the polling station at DJ College, expressing satisfaction over the security measures implemented for the peaceful conduct of the polling process. During their visit, the focus was on evaluating security arrangements and monitoring polling activities, with interactions held with both voters and presiding officers to ensure the smooth progress of proceedings.

Highlighting the paramount importance of cooperation between voters, supporters, and law enforcement agencies in maintaining a peaceful polling environment, the Caretaker Sindh Home Minister Brigadier (Retd) Haris Nawaz reaffirmed the caretaker government’s dedication to fostering conducive conditions for elections.

Emphasizing the necessity for vigilant surveillance, particularly around polling station perimeters, Caretaker Sindh Home Minister Brigadier (Retd) Haris Nawazurged the police to swiftly respond to any suspicious activities. Additionally, he stressed the importance of providing special assistance to senior citizens and women visiting polling stations.

IGP Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja praised the preparedness and vigilance of all police officers and personnel, with additional reserves on standby, affirming that the Sindh Police had utilized all available resources and manpower to ensure security during the electoral process.
