A hearing was held on the petition filed by PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh regarding electoral fraud in NA-238 East Karachi at the Election Tribunal established in the Sindh High Court Karachi.
In representation of Haleem Adil Sheikh, Barrister Ali Tahir highlighted that following the conclusion of the voting process on 8th February, the candidate was denied the opportunity to finalize the form. Furthermore, our election agents were removed on the same day.
Recently, the Election Commission uploaded and subsequently removed our Form 45 from their website. It is anticipated that the court may order the Election Commission to promptly re-upload Form 45 to deter further fraudulent activities. The Tribunal has issued notices to the Election Commission of Pakistan and other relevant parties asking for a response by April 19.
The President of PTI Sindh and former leader of the Opposition in Sindh, mentioned during a media briefing that alongside the ongoing petition against the Election Commission in the Sindh High Court, our petition for contempt of court is also being heard. We are hopeful for justice from the courts.
Haleem stated that the series of injustices against PTI has persisted since the regime change operation and continues unabated. The humiliation suffered by PDM’s figurehead, Donald Lou, yesterday was witnessed globally.
