District Hafizabad is dengue free while 220 indoor and 42 outdoor teams of health department are working to ensure implementation on Anti-Dengue preventive measures at homes, streets, public parks, graveyards and other palaces.
This was informed by the Chief Executive Officer Health Dr. Rehmatullah Saqib while giving briefing to the meeting of District Anti-Dengue Programme held at District Complex at Hafizabad, on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Rana Saleem Ahmad Khan presided over the meeting. Officers of different department attended the meeting.
Rehmatullah Saqib further told that special dengue wards had been established at district headquarter hospital Hafizabad and Tehsil headquarter hospital Pindi Bhattian for treatment of dengue patients, whoever, no any dengue patient was reported in the district Hafizabad so far. Addressing the meeting, DC has stress the need of team work to contain growth of dengue larvae and mosquitoes.
He said that all departments would have to implement on Anti-Dengue Programme to control spread of dengue larvae and mosquitoes in the district. He said that danger of dengue was increasing day by day if we could not overcome growth of dengue mosquitoes on war footing basis, the situation would be worsened.
He directed the officers of the concerned departments to ensure cleanliness around government offices as well as parks.
