In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a police station was attacked in Jammu district.
Unidentified persons lobbed a grenade towards a police station in the Sidhra area of the district. The grenade exploded outside the police station with a bang. No casualty was reported in the explosion.
The Indian authorities have sounded an alert in the area. Following the attack, Indian troops, paramilitary and police personnel launched massive cordon and search operations in Jammu and other districts of the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, Indian troops claimed to have recovered ammunition during a cordon and search operation in Uri area of Baramulla district, while an improvised explosive device (IED) was detected and defused in Shopian district, police officials claimed.—KMS
