Govt urged to introduce business-friendly policies

Former Chairman and Patron-in-Chief Allied Panel Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) MohsinSheikhani has demanded of the government to introduce business-friendly policy in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). He was addressing a dinner hosted by ABAD at a hotel in honour UBG candidates for upcoming Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) annual election. Patron-in-Chief of United Business Group (UBG) S M Muneer, Chairman ABAD FayyazIlyas, Senior Vice Chairman Khawaja Muhammad Ayoob, Vice Chairman Arif Sheikhani, Chairman Southern Region Eng. Danish Bin Rauf, candidates of UBG and a large number of builders businessmen were present on this occasion. MohsinSheikhani said that NAB and FIA are making businesses difficult and investors are afraid of NAB and FIA’s unwarranted actions affecting business activities. He said that the government should introduce business-friendly policies in NAB, FIA and other similar departments for economic growth. He said that today Gwadar is becoming a hub of business and development but unfortunately local builders and developers are not being allowed to participate in development of Gwadar. He said that the government should such steps to facilitate local builders and developers. MohsinSheikhani demanded of the government to grant status of Federal Minister to the President of FPCCI. He also announced full support to UBG candidates in upcoming FPCCI election. Addressing the gathering, S M Muneer said that UBG is an active platform for solution of Business community’s problems and it will continue to solve problems of business community in future with the same vigor. Addressing the dinner, Chairman ABAD FayyazIlyas said that no one paid heed for the development of construction sector during more than five decades but the present government, acknowledging the importance of this sector, has given status of industry to construction sector. Not only that, but the Prime Minister has announced a comprehensive construction package, which will go a long way for the economic development of the country. He also demanded of the Prime Minister to extend the date construction package at least for one year. Former Chairman ABAD and SVP FPCCI HanifGohar, former chairman and Vice Presidential candidate Arif Jeewa, former chairman ABAD Junaid Ashraf Taloo and other candidates also spoke on this occasion. Chairman SR ABAD Danish Bin Rauf thanked all participants.
