KARACHI – Gold rates registered upward trend in Pakistan on Monday line with rising international prices.
According to dealers, the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs800 to settle at Rs247,300 per tola in domestic market of the country. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs686 to close at Rs212,020.
In international market, the price of the precious commodity went up by $8 to reach $2,371 per ounce.

Over the weekend, gold rates witnessed a drop in Pakistan as the 24 carats of yellow metal saw a drop of Rs1100 and the new price settled at Rs246,500 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold had decreased by Rs943, now trading at Rs211,334. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold had also dropped, now trading at Rs193,723.
