As the Search Committee of the Federal Urdu University has just finished its task of appointment of the regular Vice Chancellor, in the meantime the current acting administration is busy to hold selection of blue-eyed teachers.
For this purpose, preparations have been completed to call about 3,000 candidates for the test. The said test would be taken for the post of lecturer.
According to the details, in view of the current situation of Covid-19 epidemic, the government has imposed strict restrictions on activities attracting maximum number of people the Fuuast acting management is going conduct test process without the approval of the federal government and concerned authorities.
Also, the provincial and the federal governments have taken measures to control the spread of Covid-19.
In the regard, teaching and examinations at educational institutions, including universities, have been suspended so that more people cannot gather at one place at a time.
Sources said that ignoring the situation of Covid-19, the acting management of the Federal Urdu University has prepared to call about 3,000 candidates for the test in order to hold selection board on Saturday and Sunday.
1,400 people will be called on Saturday and 1,700 on Sunday for the post of lecturer.It is reported that the acting management of the university is working to appoint blue-eyed teachers, although the search committee for the appointment of a permanent vice-chancellor has almost completed its work.
And in in the next few days, the Senate will be chaired by the president in which the varsity will get a permanent VC.
There is a strong possibility that the name of the permanent vice chancellor will be approved in the next meeting, the sources added.
The present acting administration wants to appoint a person of its choice by holding a selection board as soon as possible and in this hurry, ignoring the current dangerous wave of Covid-19 and putting lives of thousands of people at risk.
