FPC delegation calls on Chohan

A delegation of Faisalabad Press Club (FPC), comprising its members and social workers led by Secretary Sajid Ali Khan called on Punjab Minister for Prisons Fayyazul Hassan Chohan.

Issues pertaining to welfare of the journalist community came under discussion during the meeting.

On the occasion, FPC Secretary Sajid Ali Khan apprised the provincial minister of the problems faced by the journalists, forced layoff by media houses owners and delay in completion of the journalist colony.

The minister assured the delegation that all problems of the mediamen would be resolved on priority basis.

He said that the government is committed to the welfare of journalists and all out measures will be taken to protect their rights.

The visiting delegation included Nadeem Chaudhry, Afshan Batool, Shaukat Tabassum, Dr Ramzan, Mian Nazir, Ali Raza Qureshi and Ejaz Butt.

The delegation members gratitude to the Provincial Minister and expressed satisfaction over the assurance given by him.
