RAWALPINDI – Four Pakistan Army personnel embraced martyrdom in exchanges of gunfire with militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan districts, the military’s media wing said.

ISPR shared a press release as security forces successfully killed at least five Khawarij terrorists in Waziristan. The operation, conducted by Pakistan’s armed forces triggered intense firefights that resulted in deaths of the terrorists.

Four brave sons of soil embraced martyred during exchange of gunfire. The fallen soldiers are Naib Subedar Taib Shah, Lance Naik Gulab Zaman, Lance Naik Muzzamil Mahmood, and Lance Naik Habibullah. Their families and the nation mourn the loss of these brave men, who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their homeland.

A clearance operation is currently underway in region to ensure that any remaining terrorist elements are neutralized, ISPR said. The military reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism from the region, emphasizing that the sacrifices of the soldiers have strengthened the resolve to bring lasting peace and security to the country.

“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our determination to achieve lasting peace and security,” the ISPR statement said, underlining the ongoing efforts of Pakistan’s security forces in their fight against terrorism.
