At least two terrorists were gunned down during a shootout with the security forces that repulsed insurgents attack on a security check post in Bara tehsil of Khyber tribal district on Saturday. Reports reaching here said a group of terrorists ambushed a security forces check post in Ghaibi Nekah area of Bara Tehsil and opened firing at the soldiers guarding the post.
The security forces, as the officials said, retaliated the attack effectively. “At least two terrorists were killed in retaliatory firing of the security forces. The killed terrorists belonged to Orakzai district,” the officials said. Reports said during the exchange of fire, two terrorists were also apprehended, but two others managed to escape. The security forces are also reported to have kicked off a search operation for the arrest of the remaining two terrorists.
