The Pakistan Army led security force continued hunt for the Khawarjis or foreign militants mainly from the restive Afghanistan and at least ten more terrorists were gunned down and equal numbers were seriously wounded in three Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) conducted in the North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
The security forces conducted the operation in the Spinwam area of the North Waziristan on the reported presence of the intruders who infiltrate through the Pak-Afghan borders. The forces also sophisticated weapons and ammunition from their possession.
“On 09 November 2024, Security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Spinwam, North Waziristan District on reported presence of khwarij”, says an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) communiqué issued on Sunday adding during conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged khwarij’s location, as a result of which, ten khwarij were sent to hell, while eight khwarij got injured.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as killing of innocent civilians. ISPR said and maintained that sanitization operation was being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country.
While the neighboring country despite repeated requests from the Pakistani authorities to have effective control over its border areas, failed to do so, the militants from Afghan side of the border have unleashed subversive activities in Pakistan mostly in tribal districts of KP and Balochistan.
Earlier on November 7 bloody shootout between the Pakistan Army led security forces and the foreign terrorists, also called Khawarji, in the South Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday late night resulted in the martyrdom of at least four men in Uniform though five terrorists were also mowed down by the forces while a serving Major and two Jawaans of the Pakistan Army embraced martyred in a shootout with militants in Bannu a day on October 30.
