LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan.
A shallow westerly wave is approaching upper parts of the country today.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab including Lahore on Friday night and the next two days.
Smog/fog is likely to persist in Narowal, Sialkot, Okara, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rahim yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surroundings during morning and night hours.
Fog update for Motorway, National Highway
Moderate to dense smog/fog is likely to disturb traffic flow on portions of Motorway (Peshawar-Swabi, Swabi-Islamabad,Pindi Bhattian-Lahore, Kallar Kahar-Pindi Bhattian, Lahore-Abdul Hakim, Sialkot-Lahore, Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad, Faisalabad-Multan and Multan-Sukkur) and National Highway.
In Lahore, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 09-11 C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where mercury dropped to 01 C.
Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 14 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 09 C.
