Director FIA Sindh Zone-II Mohammad Younus Chandio said that efforts are being made to ensure the maximum transparency in handling the enquiries and investigations related to FERA/ Hawala Hundi and AMLA cases.
He said that no any misconduct would be tolerated and the enquiries and investigations be completed purely on merit without any delay.
This he said while presiding the review meeting of FIA Crime Circle Sukkur Sindh Zone-II Meeting held on Monday at FIA Crime Circle Sukkur.
The meeting attended by Deputy Director FIA Crime Circle Sukkur Mr. Ghulam SarwarWaraich, Assistant Director (Law) Munir Ahmed Siyal, Inspector Mohammad Ali Soomro, Inspector Sunnia Qureshi, SHO/SI Aijaz Ali and other FIA Investigation Officers (IOs) and Enquiry Officers (EOs) of FIA Crime Circle Sukkur.
The Zonal Director Mohammad YounusChandio reviewed the progress of Circle and directed all (IOs) and (EOs) to conduct raid and register cases of Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) on the recommendation of Police referred cases and register cases of Hawala/Hundi, proceed on international fresh search request of suspect/accused persons, generate source reports, conviction and case trial proceedings, timely submission of exploration reports, appeal against acquittal cases, disposal of pending enquiries etc.
The Zonal Director directed the Circle Heads and all the IOs to reduce the old pendency, 2017, 2018 within 10 days without fail.
The Zonal Director stressed speedy disposal Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) related enquiries and AML cases pending for more than 03 months without fail.
