Federal Minister of Information Chaudhry Fawad Hussain holds a press conference; president of the Arts Council Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah, MD PTV Aamir Manzoor, Shaheera Shahid accompanied him on stage.
In the press conference, an MOU was signed between the Federal Government, Arts Council Karachi, and Pakistan Television to organize National Entertainment Awards (NEA).
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain addressing the press conference along with President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah said that awards worth Rs. 25 Crore will be given to the people who have given their best performances in the entertainment industry. He said that our films, dramas, and music have been destroyed. Film divisions have been set up in PTV and films are being made on Zaheer-ud-din Babar, Iqbal, and Tipu Sultan.
Our youth will get the best opportunities. It would provide employment opportunities to our artists and the best entertainment to the nation while we would be able to revive our culture and history.
Further speaking he said we as a nation cannot move forward without strengthening our culture literature, and film.
After signing the MOU, president of the Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah paid gratitude to the Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain for acknowledging the services of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi at the national level.
He said that earlier, various television and institutions used to organize their awards but now this will be a national award which will highlight all the languages and cultures of Pakistan, from Gilgit-Baltistan to Gwadar. Also, a jury will be formed for the awards and the whole nation will be proud of them. Mr. Shah announced that the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi had laid the foundation of the International Urdu Conference.
These conferences are being held in Arts Council Karachi for fourteen consecutive years now on the desire of Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, the 15th International Urdu Conference will be held in Islamabad on 11th, 12th, and13th March 2022
After the press conference, the council’s members gathered at the Arts Council Karachi to congratulate the governing body members on this massive achievement.
On this occasion, the governing body members said that all that today Arts Council Karachi got the acknowledgment by the federal government, all the credit of this achievement goes to the president Mohammad Ahmed Shah.
He led this organization with passion and dedication. Arts Council Karachi will mutually organize the National Awards with the Federal government. On the occasion members of the Arts Council distributed sweets among each other.
